Iron Andy Returns to
Coeur d'Alene Ironman Event

Andy Holder, aka Iron Andy, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2005 at the age of 36. As a husband and father, he wanted to prove that he could live life and inspire others to do the same. Andy decided to do something extraordinary, one year later he completed the Ironman Triathlon.

Iron Andy visited Medicine Man - Good Neighbor Pharmacy in Post Falls and Hayden. He's a national spokesman for Good Neighbor Pharmacy and the Diabetes Shoppe within the stores. While in town Andy was interviewed on KVNI 1080AM Radio with Rick Lukens. He was also on site at the Good Neighbor Pharmacy booth at the Ford Ironman Village for the Thursday, Friday prior to the race. Iron Andy was meeting people at the booth and spreading the good news that with proper testing and help from a team of reliable health care providers, people can still live life to the limit. Andy's message was clear, people with diabetes can still enjoy a full life with work, family, and recreation - even compete in an Ironman race if they wish.
